About the Artist
Joshi Radin is an artist and organizer living in Chicago. She has shown work in artist-run spaces, galleries and a museum, with shows scheduled for 2021. She was a writing fellow at the Vermont Studio Center in 2019 and her essays have appeared in MUNTREF curatorial studies magazine, the Brill Critical Plant Studies Series, with forthcoming work in Posthumanism in Art and Science: A Reader from Columbia University Press. In 2017 she was the Dangler curatorial fellow in the Department of Photography at The Art Institute of Chicago, and she completed her MFA in Photography (2016) and MA in Visual and Critical Studies (2018) as a merit scholar and writing fellow at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Currently she is an artist-in-residence with the Chicago Artists Coalition and manages a grassroots education campaign for state low-income solar programs serving environmental justice and low-income communities with the Pilsen Environmental Rights and Reform Organization. She recently created the Chemical (Re)Actions: On Environmental Struggles in Chicago project for the Goethe-Institut Chicago with Alberto Ortega Trejo.
